Every Cub should be out selling Popcorn! The Popcorn Sale is Pack 49's primary fundraiser for the year. The proceeds of the Popcorn sale are used to fund our program and it is critical that everyone gets out and knocks on a few doors. Cub Scout popcorn almost sells itself, and any Cub that knocks on a few doors will definitely sell popcorn! The goal for each Cub is $400. That may seem high, but all it takes is going out and asking 25 people. If you show up in uniform at 25 houses you are almost guaranteed to meet and exceed your goal. We will also have a show and sell opportunity at Lowes in Canandaigua the weekend of Sept 22 & 23rd. Talk to your Den leader about participating in this event a and let the customers come to you! There will be a show and sell at Lowes in Cannandaigua on the weekend of September 22nd & 23rd. Lots of coverage is needed, talk to your Den leader to sign up. This is the first weekend for show and sell so sales should be brisk!

The First pack meeting of the year will be held on September 19th at the Elementary School cafeteria.

The Second pack meeting will be a campfire at the Bennett Building. (The Bennett Building is located on Phelps Street across from the Manchester fire hall.) Each den and leader should have a song or skit to present at the campfire. Rumour has it that our Cubmaster Mr. Pagorek will be singing a special song at the campfire. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held at the Elementary school cafeteria.

Pack 49 will be sponsering a tour of the Valentown museum in Victor.  There is no cost for the tour and it will take place on Sept 29 at 2:00 pm. Contact your Den Leader for additional information. For additional information on Valentown click on this link ==> http://www.valentown.org/

Pack 49 will be doing Pumpkin Painting on October 1st at the Manchester Town Barns. The town barns are located on Vanderwall Drive off Center Stree behind the old Milk factory. Do not wear you uniform but wear old clothes that you dont mind getting paint on!

Weblos-ree will be held at Camp Babcock-Hovey the weekend of 10/13-10-14. This is a great opportunity for all Webelos (and parents) to get acquainted with the Boy Scout Camp Babcock-Hovey and get a taste of what Boy Scout camping is all about. The program is a lot of fun and is a great introduction to the closest Boy Scout camp in the Seneca Waterways district. Webelos I & II are eleigible and should contact their Den Leader for additional information.
